On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,704. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.297 billion and the number of lots traded 11,932. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 2.064 billion followed by gold PKR 1.887 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.363 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.286 billion, platinum PKR 203.916 million, DJ PKR 151.394 million, silver PKR 127.517 million, Palladium PKR 62.355 million, copper PKR 60.907 million, SP500 PKR 40.319 million, Brent crude oil PKR 28.922 million and natural gas PKR 19.891 million.
In agriculture commodities 7 lots of wheat valued at PKR 22.028 million, 12 lots of cotton valued at PKR 6.072 million, 2 lots of corn valued at PKR 5.111 million and 13,481 lots of red chilli valued at PKR 3.639 million were traded.
