The Inland Revenue staff recovered default amount partially from a local importer while freezing his bank accounts. According to sources, the tax officials recovered over one million rupees out of the defaulted amount of Rs 6 million with reference to sales tax assessment for the tax year 2017. The official sources said the importer was importing all kinds of products from abroad. They further added that the accounts would not be unfrozen until the recovery of full amount.
