Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema on Saturday visited Social Welfare Training Institute. They were accompanied by Advisor to CM Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Akram and Member Provincial Assembly Nazir Ahmad Chohan. While talking to media, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that he is very pleased to visit the Social Welfare Training Institute and added that this is welfare work and all philanthropists should cooperate with the government in this regard.
Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema told the media that the institute was in bad shape when he assumed the charge of this ministry. "We have taken special interest to improve its facilities and renovation. Our government has increased the developmental budget of this department from Rs 550 million to Rs 186 million," he added.
Meanwhile, they also visited other institutes run under Social Welfare Complex: Nasheman, Aafiat, Gehwara, Darul Falah and Darul Salon. During the visit the provincial Minister BM briefed the Federal Minister about its working and improvements made for the residents in these institutes.
