CSR & CSI activist for eradication of Thalassemia, Ateeq Ur Rehman has emphasized that there is a great need for national initiative and substantial contribution by federal and provincial governments to ensure standard treatment, easy availability of blood and essential life saving medicines to save lives of Thalassemic children.
He said large number of Thalassemic children die every year without access to quality care, determination, dedication, social and financial protection. Ateeq added that the capacity building and advocacy will save the nation from the havoc of Thalassemia.
He urged that the country needs specialists on Hematology and Oncology for characterizing the need of easy access to quality health care and off-loading the burden on hundreds of blood disorder children fighting for survival of their lives in our country.
