CPEC, as part of China's Belt and Road Initiative, is cautiously termed as a game changer provided all key stakeholders act together, i.e., government, business community, policy makers and society. Connecting 4.4 billion people offers a unique but time bound opportunity, both for Pakistan's economic policy makers as well as businesses. Pakistan Stock Exchange and banking sector are keen to support business community with access to growth capital. To lead and seize the available opportunities, policy makers and businesses are expected to create a global vision and outreach. Work ethics, local talent and technology shall play a paramount role in shaping the economic and social prosperity around CPEC.
Recommended Action - Holding awareness sessions around CPEC, deliberate sector and customer segment level opportunities; Pakistani businesses should identify their role within the value chain, collaborate with policy maker and lead the policy recommendations.
