MNA Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary has been elected unanimously as Chairman of National Assembly Standing Committee on Postal Services. The meeting for the election of chairman of the Standing Committee on Postal Services was held at the Parliament House on Wednesday. The additional secretary National Assembly Secretariat welcomed the members and briefed them about the procedure for the election of chairman.
MNA Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan, the member of the Standing Committee on Postal Services, proposed the name of Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Postal Services, which was seconded by MNA Nawabzada Iftakhar Ahmed Khan Babar, MNA Romina Khursheed Alam and MNA Chaudhry Shoukat Ali Bhatti. Accordingly Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary was unanimously elected as the Chairman of Standing Committee on Postal Services.
The additional secretary congratulated the newly-elected chairman on behalf of the speaker and secretary National Assembly Secretariat. He also assured them of the full support of the secretariat for effective and efficient functioning of the committees. Chairman Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Choudhary was invited to chair the meeting. He thanked all the members of the committee for electing him as Chairman. He assured his full support and cooperation with the committee members in good faith of the country.
MNAs including Chaudhry Shoukat Ali Bhatti, Faiz Ullah, Malik Karamat Ali, Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan, Tahir Iqbal, Romina Khursheed Alam, Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Babar, Niaz Ahmed Jakhar, Munawara Bibi Baloch, Syed Javed Husnain, Aysha Rajab Ali, Syed Abrar Ali Shah, Naveed Aamir Jeeva and Malik Aamir Dogar, and additional secretary National Assembly attended the meeting.
