LHC registrar returns Ayyan petition

The Lahore High Court's registrar office on Wednesday returned the petition filed on behalf of model Ayyan Ali after raising objection that the petitioner is not in the country. Ayyan sought revocation of her arrest warrants issued by a custom court in a currency smuggling case. On March 9, a customs court had issued perpetual arrest warrants of the model after declaring her a proclaimed offender over prolonged absence from the proceedings of case. The court had also ordered to confiscate her assets and produce witnesses before the court on March 16 to record statements.
