The judge of Accountability Court-4 on Saturday moved Sindh High Court (SHC) for registration of FIR against Naeem Querashi Advocate, General Secretary Karachi Bar Association (KBA) and others for storming his chamber and using abusive language against him and the judiciary. In an application submitted before Registrar SHC, AC judge stated that he was sitting in his chamber when Naeem Qureshi Advocate, Hafeez Baloch Advocate, Amir Nawaz Warriach Advocate and others barged into his chamber without permission. The mob attacked him by using abusive language and issued threats of dire consequences for proceeding with the cases.
He said that the life-threatening threats tantamount to contempt of court and caused severe mental agony to him. They refused to leave the chamber even after asking them to do so. Their act amounts to undermining the prestige and respect of the institution and they also raised slogans against the judiciary, and later on they left the chamber at their own whim. He said that Registrar SHC was immediately informed about the incident and requested Chief Justice SHC to approve registration of FIR against the lawyers.
