Amnna Fayyaz of Sindh clinched the trophy of the Bank of Khyber (BoK) National Women Squash Championship played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Saturday. Vice President, Bank of Khyber, Zarak Khan was the chief guest on this occasion. Secretary Irrigation and Senior Vice President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association Daud Khan, Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation Qamar Zaman, National coach Yasin Khan, Head Coach PAF Squash Academy Atlas Khan, Head Coach Blue Tone Squash Academy Wazir Gul, Chief Referee Munawar Zaman, players and spectators were also present.
Amnna Fayyaz of Sindh, a third seeded player, recorded victory against fourth seeded Komal Khan of Wapda in the marathon final lasted for 32 minutes. Amnna Fayyaz won the final by 3-1.
At the end, the chief guest Zarak Khan along with Secretary Irrigation KP Daud Khan gave away trophies and cash prizes to the winners, runners-up and other position holders. The winners Amnna Fayyaz and Komal Khan got Rs, 19000 and Rs. 13000 as cash prizes while Daud Khan given a cash prize of Rs. 5000 and 3000 to the winners and runners-up from his own pocket. A total of 48 female players took part in the Championship from across the country.
