Hundreds of thousands of people in the country must have heaved a sigh of relief after Supreme Court accepted Bahria Town (Pvt) Limited's offer of Rs 460 billion for its Karachi Super Highway project land, and restrained National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from filing references against it.
That the apex court's decision will give a big boost to real estate sector and the ancillary sectors attached to the land development business is a strong likelihood. It is heartening to note that Bahria Town has acted quite responsibly.
