Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail on Saturday laid floral wreaths and offered fateha at Mazar-e-Quaid on the 79th Pakistan Day, here on Saturday. "Message of Pakistan Day is loud and clear that we have to unite like a strong nation and to identify those enemies who want to destroy peace and brotherhood through terrorist attacks on peaceful citizens," Chief Minister Murad Shah said, talking to the media, on the occasion.
He said 2019 has turned to be a difficult year for the nation because our enemy [India] had created a war-like situation on the. He said the 79th Pakistan Day being observed all over the country as the country faced Indian aggression on borders but Pakistan armed forces responded them so strongly that the enemy had to go defensive. He emphasized that at this juncture the nation need to follow the guidelines of father of the nation Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
"We should remember the services of our leaders such as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto as the former made Pakistan a nuclear nation and the latter launched missile programme and made the defence of our beloved country strong in the region," he said.
To a question, Shah said those who could not see Karachi as a peaceful city had attacked on a religious scholar. "We know how to deal with such terrorists who were instigating criminals by delivering hate speeches from abroad," he said, adding: "We know you and know how to crush you and your nefarious designs."
Earlier, the chief minister along with Sindh Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and his cabinet members, chief secretary, IG police and others laid floral wreaths at the grave of founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
