AGP calls on CM: Buzdar stresses need for judicious use of national resources
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday said that indiscriminate accountability is our agenda and those who looted national resources would be held accountable for each penny. "Corruption, mismanagement and irregularities can be checked through a regular audit in government institutions while special audit of some institutions and departments would be conducted in Punjab," the CM said this while talking to Auditor General of Pakistan Javed Jahangir who called on him, here on Friday and apprised him about the performance of the department.
Talking on the occasion, the CM maintained that judicious utilization of national resources is agenda of the PTI government and transparent utilization of government resources would be ensured at every level. He lauded the performance audit of departments by Auditor General of Pakistan.
Javed Jahangir said that AG Pakistan will fully cooperate with the Punjab government for making internal audit system effective.
Moreover, the Punjab CM has decided to make direct liaison with the citizens and the latest IT system has been set up in his office for this purpose.
The CM will directly contact with the citizens in different offices and Khidmat Centers through the video link. Under the link, citizens will directly talk to the CM to express their opinion about the concern departments. The CM will also take direct feedback from the citizens about various services being provided in the government offices.
On Friday, Sardar Usman Buzdar made direct contacts with citizens through a video link in the offices of Regional Transport and Director Development of Dara Ghazi Khan.
He also contacted citizens at Khidmat Centre at Arfa Kareem Technology Park. He also listened to the problems of people in these offices and issued on-the-spot directions for the redressal of the grievances of the complainants.
In his message on Earth Hour, Punjab CM said that loving the earth and protecting the earth-crust is the responsibility of all us.
"We will have to play our due role both individually and collective for protecting the earth from environmental pollution as an increase in unnatural ways has caused extraordinary weather changes," he said, adding environmental pollution and weather changes have emerged as a big challenge and the PTI government is taking measures in the right direction to protect the environment from pollution.
