India's prime minister Narendra Modi is said to have employed various tools to brighten his party's electoral prospects. That his tools are nothing but a trick to woo Indian voter is a fact. He seems to have lost his marbles after he declared voters would reward his decision to test new weapons and "bomb" Pakistan with a thumping election victory.
How ironic it is that the prime minister of world's so-called largest democracy is deriving pleasure from his country's humiliation at the hands of Pakistan recently. But his ploy is not going to work although he has been stoking nationalist fervour to curry votes. He has no answer to his failure to fulfil his 2014 election promises, pointing to rising unemployment and farmer suicides as evidence of his failures.
