Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) limited (HACPL) has increased prices of its different variants from Rs 65000 to Rs 85000 from April 1 due to currency devaluation. According to the company, it did not pass on any impact of last exchange rate variation to customers with the hope of rupee stabilization. However, at present it is not possible to maintain the current prices for which HACPL is compelled to increase the prices of Honda cars from today.
The price of 1.3 LMT, 1.3 LAT, 1.5 MT and 1.5 LAT has been increased by Rs 65000 each variant respectively. The prices of 1.5 Aspire MT and 1.5 Aspire AT have been increased by Rs 70,000. The price of BR-V CVT has been increased by Rs 50,000 whereas price of BR-VSCT has been increased by Rs 85,000.
The new prices will be applicable on new bookings and back orders with partial/full payment. Only City and BR-V back order cars due till April 19 and payment clear (parked) till March 30 will be delivered/invoiced on current price. Remaining back order with full/partial payment will be invoiced on new price. Consignee stock available at dealerships on March 30, 2019 closing will be invoiced on new price. The prices of Civic will be announced later, till further communication new booking will be continued with minimum amount of Rs 1.2 million.
It is pertinent to mention here that M/s Suzuki has also increased prices of its different variants from Rs 10,000 to Rs 100,000. Sources in auto industry say that M/s Indus Motors Limited is also expected to increase prices of its different variants up to Rs 65000 with a couple of days on the lines of M/s Honda and Suzuki.
