Governor Punjab Mohammad Sarwar has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not come under pressure by any protest or train march. If opposition considers that NAB is overstepping its jurisdiction, "we are ready for rational and meaningful dialogue in Parliament, but process of accountability will continue". He was addressing while inaugurating the Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway at Jaranawala Interchange on Sunday. MNA Amir Dogar, Nawab Sher Waser and Khurram Shehzad were also present at occasion.
People who are accusing NAB and other accountability institutions will not be able to escape accountability. Government doesn't want confrontation with opposition but government will not backtrack from its stance on accountability. Clean drinking water will be provided by Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority. Governor Punjab said that the country was facing many challenges but leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan will be successful in solving these issues. Unfortunately, people who claimed to solve problems of country only looted and plundered resources of country. Due to corruption of these people, Pakistan is facing myriad problems. NAB and Judiciary also gave verdicts against us but we never criticised these institutions. We believe in meritocracy, de-politicisation of institutions and autonomy of institutions. He said we will prudently make all decisions on political front. Roads play vital role in economic mobility and economic connectivity.
"We will make sure that untapped potential of CPEC projects will be properly harnessed," he added. He said that Imran Khan is translating the "Do Nahi Aik Pakistan" into reality as per promises made with people of Pakistan.
