Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh for Information & Archives Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan deserve Nobel Prize for bringing Tsunami of price hike in the country. Addressing a press conference on Monday, the Provincial Advisor said that tsunami of price hike had been infected upon people of country, adding that after prices of drugs and other essential commodities, prices of petroleum products had also been increased to intolerable level.
He said,"Those were making statements of bringing out screams of people has turned it into reality by bringing record inflation in the country." He said that unrealistic policies of present failed rulers have multiplied the miseries of common men. He added that if PTI did not mend its ways, then they will not be able to protect themselves from the strong reaction of people of the country.
He said that Prime Minister talked about good news few days back regarding exploration of oil reservoir from the limits of Arabian Sea near Karachi adding that they could not find oil but PTI government has squeezed the oil for common men.
He said that 100% rates of medicines have been increased and demanded the Prime Minister to please check the prices of medicines. He posed a question: "Was this new Pakistan? Prices of Sugar had been raised by Rs.3 per kg." He further said, "What kind of relief has been provided to people of Pakistan other than inflation in last seven months. He said that it was beyond comprehensive that MQM was not raising its voice against price hikes which jumped to opposition benches when they were coalition partners in PPP government on issue of oil prices.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that FBR had utterly failed to collect stipulated target of revenue collection in last five months adding that short fall in tax collection has reached to Rs.319 billion while 26% decrease has been recorded in exports.
He said that PTI ministers were fighting with each other for their own interest and paying no attention on the issues of people. He said Income Support Programme was named after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in recognition of her services for the country.
Amendment was needed for removing her name from Income Support Programme. He said that those who had wished to remove name of Shaheed BiBi in past, were no more in scene.
Adviser to the CM on Information, Law & Anti-corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that Fawad Chaudhry was talking about downfall of the Sindh Government but contrary to this, PTI Government was itself suffering from worst crises, adding that talking about downfall of the Sindh Government was nothing but just day dreams.
Advisor said that people of Sindh had out rightly rejected PTI; Firdaus Shamim Naqvi is unaware of political norms, he should look after his position as he has to face the people. The adviser said that criticizing party leadership in a taunting way was contrary to the civilized norms. He said PTI's role in the province of Sindh is confined to slogans only. Barrister Murtaza Wahab further said that a petition filed by Shamim Naqvi was nothing but an attempt to gain a cheap publicity.
