A high level delegation of the officials of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) visited International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad on Wednesday where it discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation between IIUI and Saudi educational institution.
The KSA delegation was headed by Director General Passport and Immigration, General Salman Al-Yahya, while it was comprised of KSA officials hailing from Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Interior.
Briefing the delegation, IIUI President Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh said Pakistan is a blessing of Almighty Allah and Saudi-Pak relations are exemplary and getting stronger with every passing day. He added that Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) are knotted in an eternal relationship of brotherhood and faith. He appraised the delegation about IIUI vision, efforts for peace and joint ventures to solve the issues faced by Muslim world. He also discussed role of IIUI faculties and constituent units in research and dissemination of peace across the world.
General Salman said on the occasion that IIUI was serving Muslim world in best manners. He maintained that the visit was memorable as it was a great opportunity to explore role of IIUI in progress of Muslim world.
The delegation also visited Islamic Research Institute (IRI), Dawah Academy and Faisal Masjid where they watched a special documentary on KSA and IIUI ties. IRI and Dawah Academy Directors General were also present on the occasion.-PR
