Advisor to Chief Minister on Information Sindh Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that Thar Coal Power Project will transform Pakistan into lights and will change its destiny. Talking to journalists at his office on Tuesday, the advisor said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's dream has fulfilled today.
"Smoke emitting from the Chimney of Thar Coal Power Project is indication of progress and prosperity of Thar including whole Pakistan," he added. He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had conceptualized Thar project in 1996 which has been transformed into reality by the present visionary leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party.
Wahab said that Thar project has been completed today, adding every Pakistani will get benefit from the energy produced through reserves of Thar coal. He said that 2nd production unit comprising of 330 megawatt will be functionalized today (Wednesday) following which Thar Coal Power Project will start transmitting 660 megawatt electricity into national grid. He said that this project will boast up industrial revolution in the country, adding that the country will be on the right direction towards path of progress.
He said that Pakistan Peoples Party has always used its energies for the development and dignity of the country, whether making it atomic power or bringing revolutionary reforms in energy sector, the PPP always had given priority to the interests of people of Pakistan.
