Leader of the opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz will appear before Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday April 17 when his pre-arrest bail will expire. The LHC had restrained the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him in a case pertaining to accumulating assets beyond means.
Hamza had filed petition for pre-arrest bail after a NAB team raided to arrest him but failed due to Hamza's private security guards and supporters at his Model Town residence on April 06 last. That was the second attempt in 24 hours that the NAB had gone to arrest him. The NAB complied with LHC's order.
Earlier, on April 9, an accountability court in Lahore had indicted Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz in the Ramzan Sugar Mills reference.
