The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved four development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 5948.557 million. These schemes were approved in the 23rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2018-19.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. The approved development schemes included: Sustainable Land Management Programme to Combat Desertification in Pakistan (Punjab Component) - GEF/UNDP Assisted (Revised) at the cost of Rs 346.68 million, Rehabilitation of Metalled Road from zain to Bharthi i/c Pile Foundation Bridge over Nallah Sanghar Length = 16.00 km (Revised) at the cost of Rs 613.703 million, Retrofitting of Public Institutes as a Part of World Bank funded Punjab Green Development Program at the cost of Rs 3,811.100 million and Establishment of DHQ Hospital, Multan (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1,177.074 million.
