National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) handed over a relief package comprising of 2000 tents, 1000 blankets and sleeping bags, 1500 plastic mats and 20 generators to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan.
The relief package was extended on the request of Balochistan government to provide assistance to the people affected by the floods in recent spell of heavy rainfall, hail and thunderstorm.
In the latest spell of rains and hailstorm all over the country, 55 persons lost their lives due to collapse of kacha houses or flash flooding and other similar incidents, while 221 were injured and these floods caused partial or full damages to 596 houses.-PR
