On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,845. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.863 billion and the number of lots traded 5,511.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 1.255 billion followed by gold PKR 794.339 million, WTI crude oil PKR 672.742 million, platinum PKR 423.449 million, currencies through COTS PKR 321.329 million, DJ PKR 239.986 million, silver PKR 118.549 million, Brent crude oil PKR 17.617 million, SP500 PKR 12.734 million, copper PKR 6.582 million and natural gas PKR 0.711 million.
In agriculture commodities 35 lots of cotton valued at PKR 48.901 million and one lot of wheat amounting to PKR 3.101 million were traded.
