Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi met with provincial Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, here at the provincial assembly Thursday and discussed matters pertaining to the affairs of the PTI-led coalition government in Punjab besides matters of mutual interest, it has been learnt. Sources said that both expressed resolve to play their role for the resolution of problems posed to the people.
After the meeting, Pervaiz Elahi stated that there is no run-in between PML-Q and PTI.
"We have been standing by CM Sardar Usman Buzdar from day one and will continue to do so," he added. He, however, prayed for protection of the alliance between the PML-Q and PTI to not fall prey to an evil eye.
Elahi stated the Punjab Assembly's session will be conducted in the new building this year, while MPA hostels will also be ready during the year 2019.
Earlier, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of CM Sardar Usman Buzdar and Speaker Pervaiz Elahi in the committee room of Punjab Assembly in which progress on under-construction new building of Punjab Assembly was reviewed.
