We the affected residents of 2nd South Street, and 8th Sunset Street, DHA, Phase 2, off Sunset Boulevard, wish to apprise the DIG Traffic Police, Karachi of day-to-day menace of arson, gun pointing, looting and snatching of valuables due to heavy traffic congestion on Sunset Boulevard.
Both these streets are congested with traffic every day, due to which even the police become helpless, despite having as many as four traffic wardens and one or two senior wardens, plus a police mobile at a distance, but it has turned into a menace of looting on a daily basis.
We have approached various departments and are still looking forward to your kind help in solving this issue urgently by making these two streets signal-free corridor from Mai Kolachi to Korangi Road as done on other parts of Sunset Boulevard.
We also wish to point out that this is causing denial to our fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 9 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
