On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,815. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.802 billion and the number of lots traded 15,602. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 2.389 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.879 billion, gold PKR 1.437 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 939.597 million, platinum PKR 464.910 million, silver PKR 287.275 million, DJ PKR 224.113 million, SP500 PKR 77.835 million, palladium PKR 40.062 million, Brent crude oil PKR 29.246 million, copper PKR 18.747 million and natural gas PKR 13.443 million.
In agriculture commodities 14 lots of wheat valued at PKR 43.415 million and 26 lots of cotton valued at PKR 14.319 million were traded.
