Pakistan Army Wednesday repulsed an armed attack from across the Afghan border and killed scores of terrorists in North Waziristan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of Pakistan Army, said that the force killed various terrorists in North Waziristan while three soldiers embraced martyrdom and seven others got injured during the standoff.
In an official statement, the ISPR said the Army was putting up fences in Alwara area near the Pak-Afghan border where 60-70 terrorists from across the border attacked and as a result, Lance Naik Ali, Lance Naik Nazeer and soldier Imdad Ullah embraced martyrdom. The statement read, "While Pakistan security forces are solidifying border security through fencing and construction of forts to deny liberty of action to the terrorists, Afghan Security Forces and the authorities need to have more effective control in [the] border region to support Pakistan's efforts as well as deny use of Afghan soil against Pakistan."
The ISPR said the Operation Raddul Fasaad has been executed successfully and Pakistan will continue putting up fences at the border despite "all such impediments."
