Felicitating the Prime Minister and the whole nation on laying the foundation stone of Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said this dam will be a milestone in national development.
"The credit of construction of a mega dam after 51 years goes to the PTI government. This dam will not only provide potable water along with the provision of cheap electricity but also help promote agriculture while the flood-related damages will be decreased as well," he said.
Moreover, the MNAs belonging to Punjab met Usman Buzdar and reposed their complete confidence on him. They apprised the CM about the public welfare schemes of their constituencies.
The CM in his message on 'World Freedom Day, said that independent media is the best critic while the freedom of the press is linked with the societal norm of responsibility.
He reiterated that the PTI leadership strongly believes in the freedom of expression and added that immediate action is taken on the public complaints submitted through print, electronic and social media platforms. The Punjab government is working for the promotion of journalism at regional and national levels and a new example will be set by relieving the media of the advertisements' grip, he added.
