On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,792. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.035 billion and the number of lots traded 16,923. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 3.218 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.767 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 2.497 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 918.074 million, platinum PKR 603.007 million, DJ PKR 382.569 million, silver PKR 277.535 million, palladium PKR 187.419 million, SP500 PKR 94.907 million, copper PKR 69.696 million, Brent crude oil PKR 12.492 million and natural gas PKR 6.264 million.
In agriculture commodities 27 lots of cotton valued at PKR 14.571 million were traded.
