Secretary Pakistan Archery Federation Muhammad Wisal Khan warmly received and garlanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa archery team soon after arrival at Qayyum Sports Complex here on Thursday. Team coach and head of the first Archery Academy situated in Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Center Sara Khan, players and Director Sports PSB Coaching Center Salman Khan were also present on this occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that the KP team won team event gold medal and one of the promising Archer Israr Khan of Sara Archery Academy won individual gold medal by securing 538 points including 13 10 pointers while Wajahat Ullah secured silver medal with 537 points and Qasim of Punjab took third position.
In the men team event final Khyber Pakhtunkhwa grabbed gold medal, followed by Punjab with silver medal and Balochistan took bronze medal in the All Pakistan Inter-Provincial Archery Championship held at Quetta last week.
Talking to media men Sara Khan lauded the players for giving excellent performance and as coach she is fully satisfied from the way the players performed in the national event.
She said Israr had the honor of taking second position in the individual category of the National Archery Championship held in Peshawar and now given very excellent performance by winning gold medal in the National Inter-Provincial Archery Championship.
The boys, she said, did hard training well before the commencement of the national event in Quetta and thank Almighty Allah Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players not only given excellent performance in individual category but also winning the Team Championship trophy.
