KARACHI: Police arrested a robber in injured condition after an alleged encounter in Steel Town area of the city in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to police sources, a 35-year-old robber, Roshan alias Roshu, was allegedly looting people near water filter plant in Steel Town when a police team reached the scene.
The accused opened fire on the police, which was also retaliated, sources said. During the shootout, the robber sustained bullet injuries.
The police arrested him in injured condition and recovered weapons, a motorbike and mobile phones from his possession.
The injured robber was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
