Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that terrorists were agents of Pakistan's enemy and the government would exterminate their remnants and sympathisers. Talking to the media after visiting the injured of Data Darbar suicide attack here at Mayo Hospital, the Governor said the nation and political leadership were united in the face of terrosist attack.
Answering a question, the Governor said it was premature to claim whether the suicide attacker targeted the policemen or the Data Darbar which houses the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri. He expressed his resolve to defeat terrorists and purge Pakistan of the existence of terrorists.
To a query, he said that five persons were critically injured while the condition of 16 injured of Data Darbar incident was stable. He expressed solidarity with the families of victims in this hour of grief, adding that his thoughts were with the martyrs of the dastardly act of terrorism.
The Governor appreciated the emergency service Rescue 1122 and the medical staff including doctors and paramedical staff for providing best medical treatment to the injured. He said that all our prayers are for those, who embraced martyrdom.
The Governor said that people of Pakistan and forces have decided to fight terrorism and we will not let enemies to succeed in their nefarious designs.
