Govt holding consultation to empower GB: Gandapur

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Khan Gandapur said the government is holding consultation to empower Gilgit Baltistan and suggestions in this regard will be submitted to federal cabinet soon.

He was talking to Governor Gilgit Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon who called on him here Saturday, Radio Pakistan reported.

They dilated upon the constitutional rights of the people of Gilgit Baltistan.

The Minister said foreign investors have expressed interest to develop eight tourist sites in the region initially.

He said work on Gilgit-Chitral road will be started soon.
