Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has rebuffed the speculation regarding reshuffling in his cabinet, saying the cabinet still remains incomplete. "Reshuffling is out of question since Sindh cabinet remains incomplete and needs more ministers," he said, talking to the media just after performing inauguration ceremony of Paediatric Complex at Indus Hospital, here on Friday. His Adviser on Information Murtaza Wahab accompanied him.
Answering a question, he said Governor Sindh's statement regarding division of Sindh was unreasonable and he shouldn't have said so. The chief minister said he has not received order of the Supreme Court in which removal of encroachment has been entrusted to him. He said he had read the tickers on news channel. He said let the order come in then he would be in a position to comment on it," he said.
Murad Shah said that Sindh Solid Waste Management Authority (SSWMA) has been given clear directive to further improve cleanliness and sweeping work in South and East districts. "I am also not satisfied with the sweeping work in Malir, therefore the contracting firms have been given notices," he said.
On soaring prices of fruits, vegetables and other eatable, he said he had activated the divisional administration. He further said the commissioners, deputy commissioners and their other officers were checking quality of eatables and their prices. The chief minister said that during first three days of Ramazan, the Commissioner has collected Rs 6 million in fine from the shopkeepers and stall for creating artificial price hike.
He said that prices had gone up due to various other reasons, policies and inefficiencies on which he would talk at an appropriate time. Meanwhile, addressing the inauguration ceremony of Paediatric Complex, Chief Minister said that Indus Hospital has a special place in my heart for its valuable contribution to the healthcare system of Pakistan.
"Fortunately, I've been a part of this noble cause since long. I'm happy to see Indus Hospital evolving into a countrywide healthcare network," he said, adding that he was delighted to see the state-of-the-art paediatric complex which along with other diseases treats childhood cancer as well. He said it's one of the leading paediatric oncology centres of the country. He saluted the entire team for their hard work. He vowed to support their vision in personal and official capacity and urged others do the same.
IHN's Board Members, Executive Directors and faculty members were also present. Dr Abdul Bari Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Indus Health Network (IHN), in his speech welcomed the chief minister. The team IHN valued CM's personal commitment with the Indus Hospital. He said Murad Shah took special interest in cooperation between Sindh government and IHN. He said Indus Hospital was expanding its services and infrastructure to cater to the ever-increasing number of patients.
