Secretary Finance Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shakeel Qadir Khan has urged all provincial departments to keep in view official targets while evolving their economic plans to make the annual budget for upcoming financial year as people-friendly and developmental in real sense.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting regarding the preparation of energy sector budget for financial year 2019-20 here at Finance Department. Beside, Secretary Energy Safaraz Durrani, Additional Secretaries Energy Zafarul Islam and Iftikhar Ahmad Marwat, the Chief Planning Officer, Engineer Zainullah Shah and Deputy Secretary, Tauseef Khalid also attended the meeting.
In his presentation to the meeting, Secretary Energy Sarfaraz Durrani said that on the basis of the fixed Key Performance Indicators of the provincial government, the department during next financial year will increase its receipts to take them to Rs 5.6 billion annually.
He said besides, the 81MW Malakand-III Hydel Power Station, four more recently completed power stations of the province including 2.6MW Machai Hydel Power Station, Mardan, 17MW Raniwala Hydel Power Station, Shangla, 36.6MW Daral Khawr and 18MW Pehur Hydel Power Projects, collectively 74MW electricity is being included in the national grid.
