KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed Relief and Rehabilitation Department to collect report on the losses in Mir Ali bazaar of the North Waziristan during operation against terrorism from FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) on emergency basis to make estimation of the losses to present report before him.
The report, he said will be presented in a special meeting of the provincial cabinet to take the matter of the release of funds from federal government in that regard.
He issued these directives after delegation of the trading community from Mir Ali area of the North Waziristan called on him here in Chief Minister's House and informed him about losses occurred due to operation against terrorism in the area.
Advisor to Prime Minister Iftikhar Durrani, Advisor to CM on Merged Districts, Ajmal Khan Wazir and Secretary Relief, Abid Majeed were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister said that the residents of North Waziristan have rendered sacrifices for the country and assured that the government will redress all losses incurred on the people in wake of war against terrorism and will soon give relief to the people of the tribal district.
The chief minister also directed the early convening of a meeting for evolving procedure regarding the redressal of the losses. The delegation also briefed the CM regarding the problems faced by the trading community of Mir Ali. The chief minister assured that he would soon raise the matter with the federal government and will make all-out efforts in this regard.
