Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed the provincial administration for effective monitoring of prices of essential commodities in open market. While passing instructions to price control committees and the administration, the chief minister said there should be regular monitoring of prices not only in Ramadan Bazaars but also in open market as well to ensure availability of essential commodities at notified rates.
In order to bring sustainability in the rates, he said the officers of concerned departments should focus on field visits for its implementation. Undue raise in rates will not be tolerated at any cost. A strict legal action against hoarders will also take place, he added.
According to the CM, the PTI government is fully conversant towards miseries of people and taking every needful step to provide relief to public. He said it is the responsibility of the administration to ensure availability of essential commodities at notified rates.
