On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,742. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 20.914billion and the number of lots traded 21,177. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 13.681 billion, followed by DJ PKR 3.479 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.293 billion, gold PKR 867.721 million, currencies through COTS PKR 821.458 million, SP500 PKR 379.076 million, platinum PKR 233.888 million, natural gas PKR 41.257 million, silver PKR 41.080 million, Palladium PKR 37.700 million, copper PKR 28.244 million and Brent crude oil PKR 10.496 million.
In agriculture commodities 14 lots of wheat valued at PKR 42.510 million and 28 lots of cotton valued at PKR 18.309 million were traded.
