On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,709. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 24.248 billion and the number of lots traded 44,140.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 17.412 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.211 billion, DJ PKR 1.576 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.412 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 764.137 million, SP500 PKR 322.489 million, platinum PKR 300.484 million, silver PKR 159.336 million, Brent crude oil PKR 32.365 million, copper PKR 26.736 million, Palladium PKR 18.944 million and natural gas PKR 11.513 million.
In agriculture commodities 66 lots of cotton valued at PKR 31.365 million and 7 lots of wheat valued at PKR 21.314 million were traded.
