The work on all stations of Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit project is in full swing, while BRT corridor has so far completed. The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) spokesman in a press statement issued here on Friday stated that the news relating to communiqué of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Rescue 1122 are being appeared in section of media, which were misinterpreted by some people.
The PDA spokesman said that they had received a letter from Rescue 1122 other day, in which asked about identification of enter and exit routes of the BRT Peshawar in order to provide emergency facility to travellers in future. In this regard, he added that a reply was given of the Rescue 1122 letter, through which all seven locations had been identified. However, the spokesman said that the conduct of mock drill was impossible due to presence of heavy machinery on BRT routes for ongoing work on its stations.
He said that machinery will remove after completion of work on all stations. He said that the Rescue 1122 was allowed to conduct exercise on training ground. The spokesman said that facilitating of commuters is top priority and PDA will extend full cooperation with any department for conduct of such exercise.
