Sindh Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Friday approved different schemes worth Rs5.021 billion. These schemes were approved in the meeting of PDWP for current fiscal year 2018-19. Meeting was presided by Chairperson for Planning & Development Board Naheed Shah Durrani. One scheme approved in school education sector for up-gradation of middle schools to high schools (230 units) and high schools to higher secondary schools (115 units) worth Rs4082.490 million.
Second scheme approved in livestock & fisheries sector include surveillance and characterisation of circulating pathogens of poultry in Sindh including Avian influenza containment programme (Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar and Thatta) worth Rs299.998 million.
Third scheme was approved in Phed department include enhancement & augmentation of existing disposal work i.e. construction of collecting tank including screening chambers, RCC nala & CC blocks for various disposal works of Larkana worth Rs346.754 million. The chair during the discussions on the schemes asked all the administrative secretaries to ensure timely completion of the schemes with required quality as per approved scope so that benefits could reach to the common man.
