District administration Peshawar sealed four stores/shops of toy guns during a joint raid with police on the shops of the toy guns in Pepal Mandi area of the city. Four persons were also arrested. The Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Mohammad Ali Asghar under Section 144 has banned the business of all kinds of toy guns in the provincial metropolis.
In this connection, a joint team of the district administration and police headed by Assistant Commissioner (AC), Sara Rehman along with DSP Gohar Khan and local SHO Noor Mohammad Khan conducted raids on the shops and stores of the toy guns in Pepal Mandi area.
The joint team after sealing four shops/stores also arrested four persons while 200 cartons and bags filled with toy guns and crackers were also taken into possession. The arrested persons would be dealt as per law.
The Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar has warned all those doing the business of toy guns to abolish their illegal business with immediate effect. Otherwise stern action would be taken against them. He said that markets of the toy guns in the district including Karkhano Market would face action before Eid-ul-Fitre. The Deputy Commissioner has further directed all Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs) to take stern action against the shops and godowns of the toy guns and those doing the business in their respective areas.
