Dozens of activists of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party on Saturday staged protest rally outside Mardan press club and demanded the release of Pakhtun Tahafuz Movement (PTI) leaders MNA Mohsin Dawar, MNA Ali Wazir and other activists. The rally was led by Mohammad Iqbal Hoti president PTM Mardan chapter, Gohar Ali secretary PkMAP, Muhammad Ejaz Hoti advocate, Akbar Hoti advocate, Ameer Sultan Safi advocate, PPP provincial council member Abid Ali Shah advocate and others. Addressing to the rally speakers demanded the immediate release of PTM leaders Mohsan Dawar, Ali Wazir and other arrest activists.
The protesters were holding banners inscribed with their demands and raising slogans in favor of their demands. Speakers also condemned the police baton-charged on PTM protest at Peshawar and demanded the government to take action against the police officers who were involved in the baton-charged. Later on the protesters dispersed peacefully.
