Dozens of vehicles reduced to ashes mysteriously

Dozens of vehicles, parked within the premises of Hassanabdal Police station in Rawalpindi, were reduced to ashes in a mysterious fire on Sunday. Officials stationed at the police station cited 'the extreme hot and dry weather' as the reason behind the blaze. They said that bushes near the police station caught fire, which eventually engulfed seven cars and 20 motorcycles parked in the compound.
However, actual nature of the fire was yet to be ascertained. Emergency services including rescue 1122 and fire department rushed to the scene following the incident. The fire was doused after hours-long efforts.
