Ukrainian grain exports from sea ports in the week ended June 1-7 dropped to 493,000 tonnes from 1.02 million tonnes a week earlier, the APK-Inform consultancy said on Monday. Corn exports dived to 326,000 tonnes from 725,000 tonnes, while wheat shipments decreased to 167,000 tonnes from 287,000 tonnes, the consultancy said.
Ukraine sent its grains mostly to Turkey, Egypt and Spain. The country has exported almost 42.8 million tonnes of wheat, corn and barley so far this season, which runs from July to June, APK-Inform said. That is up from 33.4 million tonnes in the same period in 2017/18.
