Business community engaged with five zero rated exporter sectors textile, surgical, sports goods, leather have rejected the new federal budget 2019-20 and termed it the "Death Day of SMEs". Commenting on budget Chief Coordinator Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association(PRGMEA) Ijaz A Khokhar said that withdrawal of zero rated regime is severe blow to value added export sectors of the country. He further added that discontinuation of zero rated status will ruin the export-oriented industries, generate large scale unemployment and huge foreign exchange losses.
