Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the government, with the support of its allies, will not only get the budget approved from the Parliament, but also successfully achieve all the set targets.
Talking to media, here on Sunday, she said this budget is meant for the people and the state of Pakistan. Referring to the meeting between PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said some political orphans have developed a nexus to save their respective fathers.
She said the PML-N and the PPP have plunged the country into economic difficulties and now Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying hard to come out of this situation. She said Imran Khan will be successful in steering the country out of difficult times.
To a question, the Special Assistant said cases against PML-N leaders Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Ahsan Iqbal will be referred to the high-powered inquiry commission announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Earlier, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the meeting between PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and PPPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has no link with democracy.
In a tweet, she expressed the hope that for satisfaction of courts, the two will give a clear agenda for bringing back absconding brothers of Maryam and other Sharif family members and inform the nation about it. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the nation is fully aware about the harsh reality that both PML-N and PPP have started the process of transferring politics and property to their next generations and this gathering is a step towards achievement of that goal.
