Co-Chai-rman Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has said that military uniform is the only difference between the government of Gen Pervez Musharraf (retd) and Imran Khan's. Asif Ali Zardari expressed these views while talking to media persons in the chamber of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Parliament House on Friday. He said that it is difficult to go along with Imran Khan as "he came into power easily and he has no appreciation of values of democracy."
Answering a question, he said, "Prime Minister Imran Khan doesn't have the authority to give NRO to anyone. The reports regarding the arrest of Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah are just rumours."
He said the Prime Minister doesn't understand the problems being faced by people.
Answering another question, Zardari said the anti-graft watchdog treated him with respect and he also respected the NAB officials.
He said, "We offered the charter of economy to the PTI government but it did not give any positive response to it."
Earlier, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said a 'VIP prisoner' has indirectly asked for National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) in the National Assembly and said the process of accountability should stop.
"No one can escape punishment. This law applies on everyone. This is Imran Khan's Naya Pakistan," Awan said.
She further said: "It was the Prime Minister's determination to start the process of accountability from the powerful and it is a victory for the prime minister that the powerful are in the hands of law."
