Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will arrive here on a two-day official visit today to hold talks with Pakistani leadership on building a robust and mutually beneficial economic partnership, Foreign Office said. According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal, the Emir of Qatar will be visiting Pakistan from June 22-23, 2019 on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the visiting dignitary would be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising key ministers and senior officials. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani had earlier visited Pakistan in March 2015.
In Islamabad, he said that the Qatari Emir will hold talks with Prime Minister Imran Khan and will have meeting with President Dr Arif Alvi. "The two sides will discuss ways and means for building a robust and mutually beneficial economic partnership," he said. During the visit, he said that Pakistan and Qatar will sign MoUs/agreements for enhanced bilateral cooperation in different areas.
"The visit of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is expected to further strengthen the close fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar and deepen bilateral cooperation in diverse fields," he expressed the optimism. On Jun 18, Prime Minister Imran Khan took to his official Instagram account to announce that Qatar will make $ 22 billion investment in different sectors of Pakistan.
