Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan Friday said the government will get the federal budget passed with the cooperation of its allied parties. Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, she said the government's allies have assured Prime Minister Imran Khan of their cooperation. She said Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) is leading the efforts for getting the federal and Punjab budgets passed. Opposition is playing a negative role in the Parliament by threatening that they will not let the budget passed, she added.
The special assistant said the PTI government believes in the supremacy of law, adding that the prime minister is committed to ensuring justice in society. Separately, Dr Firdous in a tweet expressed surprise over issuance of show-cause notice to the prime minister for condoling death of his former cabinet member and MNA Ali Muhammad Mahar with his family members.
