Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday claimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is in fragmentation process. While addressing a press conference, Firdous Ashiq Awan said Maryam Nawaz's press conference has proved the divisions within party clearly. She claimed, "The PML-N has been divided into two factions."
Awan further said PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz has rejected the 'Charter of Economy' of his uncle Shahbaz Sharif which shows that there are clear rifts within the party. "Today a convicted woman who gained popularity through a Qatari letter held a press conference," she said. She said Maryam Nawaz has termed the 'charter of the economy', proposed by PML-N president, as a joke which is a moment of sigh for the whole PML-N.
Awan said the opposition keeps on blaming the government for politicking over Nawaz Sharif's health, but Maryam Nawaz has not only politicised the matter herself, but also confirmed the fact that if in Pakistan's jails all prisoners are tested, 90 percent of those above 60 will be found to have far worse ailments. Maryam has made it evident that she has been crying wolf in the name of medical relief, Awan maintained. "Mian Nawaz Sharif does not suffer from pain in his heart; but you people are actually suffering from the pain of (desiring) power," she added. Awan said three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif was convicted for doing money laundering and hiding assets.
She further said all those who have looted national exchequer will be held accountable as the 'day' has finally arrived. Awan said PM Imran Khan wants to make Pakistan a traders' country, adding that Emir of Qatar will announce investment package for Pakistan.
